Submission Info
To support rich discussion, we are accepting two kinds of contributions for the symposium: short papers and videos.
1. Short papers
Short papers will be presented by the author(s) and discussed at the event. The short papers should be provided in English using the ACM format. Upper limit is 2000 words. The submission deadline is October 14th (note: the deadline has been extended).
2. Synopses for videos and final videos
Instead of a written paper you can also submit a video, which addresses the themes of the symposium.
In the first phase, please submit a synopsis (i.e. short description) of your audiovisual production in English. Upper limit is 500 words. The submission deadline is September 30th (note: the deadline has been extended).
Here are few possible forms for videos, but feel free to use other ones too:
• recordings from presentations
• animations
• screencasts
• documentaries, testimonials or interviews
• visualisations
• concept or scenario videos
The final video productions, accepted on the basis of the synopses, will be presented and discussed at the symposium. Please note that the videos should be 2-10 min in length. The productions also have to be by the author(s) or otherwise licensed for public presentation. Further information about the final video submissions will be provided soon.
Please submit your short papers or synopses to the email address below and include your name, contact details as well as the track in which you would like your work to be included. More information about the tracks, Life in the Open – Experiences and Practices and Making Openness, can be found on the Call for papers page.
